Our Story
Hilbun Pest Control was founded in 2007 on a simple idea: homeowners deserve a company they can depend on.
After years in the pest control industry, my dad believed there was a better way to do business. He wanted to build a company focused on relationships, honest recommendations, and treating people the way he would want his own family treated. So, with the support of family and friends, he took a leap of faith, bought a white pickup truck, and started Hilbun Pest Control from his home in Livingston, Louisiana.
From the beginning, his goal wasn't to become the biggest company in town. He simply wanted to be the company people could count on when they needed help.
Over the years, Hilbun Pest Control grew throughout southeast Louisiana by staying true to those principles. Many of the families who trusted us in those early days are still customers today, something we're incredibly grateful for and never take for granted.
Long before I officially joined the business, I was learning those same values by helping my dad on jobs and seeing firsthand the importance of hard work, reliability, and earning someone's trust.
Service has always been a central part of my life. For 12 years, I proudly served in the Louisiana Army National Guard, responding to major disasters and helping communities during some of their most difficult moments. I also served overseas in Afghanistan, where attention to detail, accountability, and the responsibility of protecting others became deeply ingrained in who I am.
When my family and I made the move to Alabama and I was looking for a new chapter, joining the family business felt like a natural continuation of that same mission of service. Together, my dad and I began expanding Hilbun Pest Control into Alabama, bringing with us nearly two decades of experience and the same commitment to doing things the right way.
Today, the company still operates on the same principles it was founded on in 2007: listen first, treat people honestly, work hard, and always do everything in our power to protect the homes and families we serve.
