Since 2007, we've built our reputation on a simple philosophy: pest control built on trust, not sales pressure. Hilbun Pest Control was founded in 2007 in Livingston, Louisiana, by Steve Hilbun Sr. Prior to founding his own company, Steve worked in the pest control industry as a technician for over 20 years. His son, Steve Jr, would accompany him on jobs as a teenager, and got to learn everything he knows first hand from his dad. Steve Jr. went on to serve in the Army National Guard from 2005-2014. After a deployment overseas, he spent his time in various industries before deciding to join his dad in the pest control business.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I have my home treated for pests?
For most homes, quarterly service provides a good foundation for ongoing protection. However, every property is different. Pest pressure, landscaping, moisture, construction, and other conditions can affect what your home needs, so we'll recommend a service schedule based on what we find.
Are your treatments safe around children and pets?
We use products according to their labels and take your household into consideration when choosing how and where to treat. If any temporary precautions are needed, we'll explain them before treatment so you know exactly what to expect.
What happens if I see pests between regular visits?
If you're on one of our recurring plans and have an issue with a covered pest between scheduled services, contact us. We'll talk through what's happening and, when appropriate, return to address the problem as part of your service.
Do I need to be home during my service?
Not always. Many exterior services can be completed while you're away as long as we have access to the areas that need treatment. If you need interior service, we'll arrange a convenient time with you.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
For general recurring pest service, we don't believe you should have to stay with us because you're locked into a long-term agreement. We want to keep your business by providing service you're happy with. Certain specialty services, such as termite protection, may have separate agreements or renewal terms.
How do I know which service I actually need?
You don't have to figure that out before calling us. Tell us what you've been seeing and where you're seeing it. We'll inspect the property when necessary, explain what we find, and recommend the service that makes sense for the problem—without trying to sell you something you don't need.
